March 13, 2014 - Seeking A.3.4 partner on BB Db
RE: Public Librarian Seeking Public/School LibrarianSubject: Mexican/Hispanic Folktale
Me: Public LibrarianYou: Interested in preparing a folktale with a Mexican or Hispanic characterI am seeking a partner that would like to explore Mexican or Hispanic folklore and create a story relating to this type of character. This story can be related to a traditional Mexican or Hispanic tale or based on a story in modern times that parallels a traditional theme. Are there any stories that you are familiar with that may be suited to this time of story?I am looking for a person that will offer constructive criticism in order for my story to be the best that it can be.Do you want to team up with me? Thank You,Rolando Ramirez

Luz Early replied to my post:Rolando,That is fantastic! My interests for this project are along the same lines. Let's partner on this project!

At this point much of the collaboration on this project was done by way of text messaging and phone calls.

March 23, 2014 - Phone conversation
Luz and I spoke on the phone for just under an hour to discuss our project ideas and plan our presentations. Luz indicated that she was interested in doing a folktale on the Cinderella theme and I stated that I was interested in a folktale that had Senor Coyote as a main character in the folktale. I told Luz that I had gathered several Mexican folktales and many included Senor Coyote. We discussed how we would find additional stories using the Gutenberg project website and how we could make sure that the stories we used would be in the public domain.

Luz and I discussed how she would be recording her traditional storytelling in front of a group that next afternoon. She stated that she would provide me a link to view her initial presentation.
